Was prachtig! - S
I booked the apartment and one Lochside room for 2 nights whist we attended a birthday. The b&b is in a beautiful location and I hadn't realised that they had a bar and restaurant right next door - bonus! The apartment had its own entrance and the loch a stones throw away. The apartment was spacious and decorated to a high standard. When we walked in, it was lovely and warm and cozy. The view from the lounge was picturesque. The kitchen was well equipped and I loved that they had a coffee machine with complimentary pods. We didn't cook at the property, but you can if you wish. Our double bedroom was lovely, the bed firm, but comfortable. There was access on to the private decking, which was a lovely touch. The bathroom was a wet room and it had a lovely shower which was hot and powerful. The next room was a bunk room with an en suite - my son shared that the bed was comfy. We had breakfast one morning and that was nice.We ate supper in the bar next door on our last night where the service was excellent and food good. The only very minor points to add was that in the double room - the blind on the patio door does not go up to allow light in. The blind on the window beside the door does not go down - so as this faced the walk way for other guests and on to our bed - my husband had to make sure he placed coats etc at the window to allow for privacy.Th bathroom is large, and with it being a wet room, we found that the use of a squeegee to ensure the water went down the drain would have been of benefit. Instead, I had to use a towel to dry the floor just so I could walk across it/get to the loo/sink.Also, the sink is petite - with a lovely mirror and shelf above it.... Be careful when you're cleaning your teeth etc, as I bumped my head on the wee shelf whilst rinsing my mouth. My daughter and her partner had their lochside room with access to outside, which was lovely. The only draw back for them was that the door to their room was in the room serving breakfast - so they were woken really early with guests enjoying their breakfast and the kitchen buzz too. These are only minor things, all in all we really enjoyed our stay and we would recommend the b&b to anyone. We will return.Thank you Lochside- Sharon
